About Web Design & Development - (continued
from page 1)
How
is YOUR first online impression? There
is NO second chance for a first impression. How often
is your website YOUR "first impression" with
prospective new customers? The reality
is you can't be sure, since you'll never know those who
were not impressed and never bothered to contact
you.
What should your website say about your company?
It should accurately
reflect the quality and professionalism of your company, products & services.
It's amazing
to see businesses use print brochures that they invested $5000 into
for design, development & printing and then they send prospects
to a website they threw $500 into (and it looks like less!).
- If you already have a
website (91% of businesses in the US have a website) what DOES
it say about your company?
- Does it accurately reflect
who you are, what you do and why someone unfamiliar with your
company should consider doing business with you?
- Does it "provide
some of the sizzle instead of just serving the steak"?
Does it explain why you are different (and better) than
similar companies in your industry?
In the mid to late 1990's, many companies raced to get on the
Internet "bandwagon"
and produced what is commonly referred to as "1st
Generation websites". Most of these initial websites were nothing
more than a vague Cyber Brochure and offered minimal detailed content.
Many were built by the infamous "neighbor's nephew",
often a college intern that threw together some information and stuck
it into a website in exchange for "$200 and a case of beer".
Other amateur sites were put together by the company "computer
guy" or "graphics lady". Many of these beginner sites
were soon overhauled and updated, but many still exist today, relatively
unchanged since they were first launched.
- Cole WebMarketing has several years of experience
with website Design, working mainly with companies based in North
Carolina (Charlotte / Mecklenburg County and the surrounding area)
but also in South Carolina and beyond.
- We are NOT some
faceless "dot
com" Web Design firm. If you are located within 50
miles of Charlotte, an on-site Initial Website Consultation
may be available...at NO CHARGE.
- A professional
Website Consultant can personally visit your place
of business, to help you develop or improve your Internet
Marketing Strategy.
If you already have a existing website,
but know it needs an "extreme
makeover", see our Website
Redesign section for details on how we can completely "overhaul"
your old website. See our Portfolio section for "before/after" examples.
Critical to the development of a successful
website depends on the Internet Marketing Strategy of the particular
company for whom the website is being created. Is the main goal to attract
new customers, increase sales to existing customers or help retain current
customers via online Customer Service features? Hopefully it's all three!
Achieving a high rank at the major Search
Engines is also important for most websites, so making the site as "search engine friendly" as
possible to GoogleBot and the other web crawling search engine spider
robots is usually a major concern for our clients and a major focus for
Cole WebMarketing.
